The Kinston First Free Will Baptist Church was formally established in 1889 and joined the General Conference in 1890.  The congregation worshipped in the courthouse in 1899 and in 1902 moved to 600 Chestnut Street.  The congregation grew and in 1942 moved to 109 N. Independence Street.  The church continued to grow and moved to 314 W. Lenoir Street in 1957 where it remained until February 2007.   The church was sold at that time and the congregation moved to its temporary location at 651 Sussex Drive.  Eleven acres of land was purchased in 2007 on Falling Creek Road.  Construction began in 2009.  We moved into the new facility on 09/27/2009.
